Classic Highlights: Stand Up

Gregory doing a set at New York Comedy Club circa 1996, before his improv years and subsequent theatre/film/TV career.

Most of his material involved parodies of the Star Wars prequels, which had just come out, along with a lengthy discourse on Nelson Mandela.  After recounting the life-or-death trials of this political prisoner who became president of his country, he would wrap up by saying, "And I spent two hours on the phone today arguing about my cable bill."

Following a year of trolling the clubs for mic time, Gregory returned to his first love, theatre.  He got a job in a national tour and has never looked back.
