Stake Land
Stake Land, a vampire movie featuring Gregory, won the Audience Award for its category at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. IFC, Dark Sky Films, and Glass Eye Pix distributed the film nationwide and on demand. It is now available on DVD.
Starring Michael Cerveris, Kelly McGillis, Danielle Harris, and Connor Paolo (pictured between his movie parents, Gregory and Traci Hovel), Stake Land (see trailer) is about a live boy in a dead world.
Paolo joins up with a venerable vampire killer (co-writer Nick Damici) on a road trip through a post-apocalyptic America.
Danielle Harris, star of Rob Zombie's Halloween updates, plays Paolo's love interest. (She took some behind-the-scenes footage of Stake Land.)
Gregory was thrilled to work with Damici and co-writer/director Jim Mickle, realizing their apocalyptic vision in the cornfields of Eastern Pennsylvania. (location report)
